eAgent Identity Center & Public Portals

eAgent Identity Center (EIC) was developed to reimagine the landscape of Computerized Criminal History (CCH) systems by prioritizing efficiency, simplicity and usability. Faced with replacing outdated and complex software, the goal was to introduce modern design principles and updated technology - creating an intuitive, streamlined, and user-friendly web-based application that set the standard for excellence in the industry.

CONSIDERATIONS & CONSTRAINTS

Creating both EIC and its Portals simultaneously posed a challenge. EIC users, trained specialists often timed for file processing speed, required an efficient design. Simultaneously, the portals catered to untrained, public-facing users, demanding an intuitive and modern approach. Balancing the needs of these distinct user groups while ensuring seamless connectivity between applications added complexity, prompting us to challenge conventional practices in CCH systems.

RESULTS

  • Efficiency Gains: The implementation of EIC led to significant time savings for law enforcement agencies, streamlining processes and eliminating redundancy.

  • User Empowerment: Custom features and an intuitive UI not only streamlined EIC users' workflow but also empowered them, contributing to increased productivity.

  • Integrated Package: The holistic approach of designing EIC and the portals as a package deal ensured a cohesive and interconnected solution.

  • Modernized Public Intake: The redesigned public-facing Portals were modernized - enhancing credibility and enabling users to make and track the status of their CCH-related requests.
